#1. Family Force 5
I picked my Top 5 artisits and did bios on them and why i like them
Their Wikipedia Bio:
The three leading members of the band, Soul Glow Activatur, Phatty and Crouton, are sons of Jerome Olds, a Christian artist from the late 1980s. Prior to the formation of Family Force 5, the brothers were members of a "boy band" known as The Brothers, releasing Fact and Reality (1994) and RPM (1995). Both albums were released on Star SongRecords, and produced by their father.
Between the Brothers and Family Force 5 the brothers had a band called Ground Noise, which they classified as "a really bad version of Third Day." Before the band chose the name Family Force 5, they had taken on the name "The Phamily". They had to change it later due to copyright issues with Prince's band, The Family.
A decade later, the band signed with Maverick Records for distribution to the mainstream market before signing to Gotee Records for the Christian market. The band sought out a dual recording deal in order to better distribute their music to both the mainstream market and the Christian market.According to Soul Glow Activatur, "To me, and pretty much anybody that's under my age, most Christian music is a turnoff. I don't want to be affiliated with that. I want to be affiliated with something that is great music. I feel that Maverick and Gotee together can pull that off."
Their debut album has been both disparaged and praised by Christian and non-Christian critics respectively for not containing overtly Christian content in any of its tracks (with the exception of "Peachy", which was apparently written to convert a friend to Christianity and calls God by name). However, the band often does talk about singing for Jesus during their shows and occasionally one of the members (usually Phatty) leads a prayer at the end of the set.
Family Force 5 contributed the song "Mind's Eye" for the compilation album Freaked! A Gotee Tribute to dc Talk's "Jesus Freak". For Christmas, Family Force 5 released a few Christmas-themed audio blogs. They've also recorded "Grandma", a cover of Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer. In March 2007, their debut album was re-released as Business Up Front, Party In The Back: Diamond Edition, which contains three previously unreleased songs.A new unreleased song entitled "Whatcha Gonna Do With It" has been made available for download exclusively at the Wal-Mart music download store as an EP titled Business Up Front/Party In The Back (Diamond Edition) (Exclusive EP). This song will also be made available on a new compilation produced by Gotee Records labeled Hip Hope 2008.
They released an EP entitled The Dance or Die EP to debut three songs from their upcoming album. There are three songs on the EP; "Dance or Die", "Fever", and "Wake the Dead". "Fever" is featured in their most recent concert appearances starting in February where they ended the Heart Support Tour. The full-length album, Dance or Die, received a favorable review in World Magazine.
The band debuted the remix album Dance or Die With A Vengeance on May 19, 2009. It features remixes by The Secret Handshake (Dance or Die), Sean Foreman of 3OH!3 (OH YEAH!!!!!) (Get Your Back Off The Wall), Danger Radio, Jasen Rauch of Red (Radiator), Matt Thiessen of Relient K (The First Time), David Crowder of David Crowder Band (How In The World), Alex Suarez of Cobra Starship (How In The World), and others. The first single, "The First Time (Matt Theiseen from Relient K Remix)," from the remix album was released on the band's MySpace page on April 13th, 2009. The second single from the remix album, Get Your Back Off the Wall (Sean from 3oh!3 remix), was released on Altpress. A one minute and forty-six second version of Ghostride The Whip leaked onto the internet shortly after the second single's release.
My Description:
Family Force 5 uses elements of rap, hardcore, alternative rock, punk rock, dance, electropunk, electronica and scremo with positive, party lyrics in their music. They're NOT a christian band like any other. They never sing about God or Jesus or anything biblical like that, but they never sing about anything crude or swear at all. Also they never talk about sex or porn and i love so much that they don't say things like "Let's go pay some bitches" or something like that. Just quality music, with no interuptions with uneeded vulgar words.
Don't take that the wrong way, they're hardcore as any other heavy metal band, with actual singing and talent. My dream band basically and the members aren't too ugly either :) And if you're wondering if their father was high when he named them, you know it's not they're real names right? Just making sure <3 And who doesn't love and caring sensitive Christian guy who still knows how to party? Hello, nobody!!
I must tell you though the remixs that they did in Dance or Die with a Vengence were really bad, sorry to say. THey totally ruined everything i loved about FF5 :( You listen to them and LMK

#2. InnerPartySystem
Their Wikipedia Bio
Innerpartysystem is an American rock band. The group consists of Patrick Nissley, Jared Piccone, Kris Barman and Jesse Cronan. In late 2008 the band set up a remix MySpace page which has been regularly updated with new remixes, including The Killers track Human and Keane's Perfect Symmetry. The band is also well known for their live performance lighting largely by Andrew Nissley and unique videos directed by Stephen Penta.
Their debut EP The Download EP was released in November 2007 and their debut self-titled album in late September 2008. In May 2009 the band digitally released the UK equivalent of The Download EP, this time with the title track being Heart of Fire.
Early years and formation (2000-2007) Before singer Patrick Nissley and drummer Jared Piccone started Innerpartysystem, both of them were playing in Reading emo band Thirteen Over Eight. Piccone joined in 2000, a few years after their inception. Though the group enjoyed a fair local response, things didn't take off until the two started the electronic-inspired The Takeover in 2006, which was later renamed Innerpartysystem. Nissley is the primary songwriter and programmer, along with Kris Barman who plays guitar and keyboards. Piccone plays drums and Jesse Cronan plays keyboards and samples. The band signed to Stolen Transmission (headed by Sarah Lewitinn, credited for helping bands like My Chemical Romance and The Killers reach mainstream charts) in May 2007. "Heart of Fire" was played during the 2007 MTV VMAs in September just before the band released The Download EP a couple of months later.
Album release (2008-present) The band released their first music in May 2008 for their lead album single "Don't Stop". The self-titled album was later released on the 29th September 2008. Don't Stop has been used in the EA Sports game Madden NFL 09, as well as being made into the first 7 inch vinyl made out of chocolate. "Heart of Fire" appeared on the soundtrack for Criterion Games Burnout Paradise. The instrumental of the song "This Empty Love" from the band's album was later featured in the racing video game, Need for Speed: Undercover.
"Die Tonight Live Forever", the band's second single and video were released in September 2008.
The bands self-titled debut album was released on September 29, 2008 in the United Kingdom and September 30 in the United States. The band went on to tour in support of their newly released album with a short UK tour in October and subsequent US tour supporting 3OH!3 (YA!!!). The band continued to tour the US and then headed back to the UK towards an almost sold-out UK tour in January 2009 before a short return in the US and will prepare touring Australia for the first time.
The band have also been experimenting with live stripped down versions of their songs played using various downloadable music-related applications on the iPhone. They played Don't Stop live in this manner on a couple of radio stations before being asked to perform a free five track set in an Apple Store in London. They have now announced the new UK tour for April.
My Description
i find wikipedia's description not fulfilling, InnerPartySystem is def not American Rock, it is a combo of techno, hard rock n roll, and dance party!!! The band name is after the different 'parties' in George Orwells 1984 the inner, outer, and working parties. This is to represent the futuristic and technological aspect of their sound.
Their british which would explain why most of their songs are about fame, fortune, drugs and self-mutilation. I'm pretty sure tthey don't have as much of that there than they have it here. I totally love Don't Stop and Die Tonight, Live Forever!!! Great songs!!

#3. My Chemical Romance
#4. Three Days Grace
Their Wikipedia Bio
The band has sold over 6 million records in the United States according to the RIAA. Around 150 copies of the album Wave of Popular Feeling were released. Shortly after release, Groundswell (prename fro 3 Days Grace) disbanded. Groundswell's line-up included five members: Adam Gontier (vocals, guitar), Neil Sanderson (backing vocals, drums), Brad Walst(bass), Phil Crowe (guitar) and Joe Grant (guitar). At this time, Neil Sanderson also played in Trevor McNevan's first band called Oddball.
In 1997, Adam Gontier, Neil Sanderson, and Brad Walst united again to continue their musical work together. Originally a cover band, the trio named the band Three Days Grace. The meaning is derived from a sense of urgency as Adam Gontier explains: "We sort of look at Three Days Grace, as it sort of stands for a sense of urgency. Time to pay a debt. If you had three days to change something in your life or if [you] wanted to change something in your life, could you do it in three days?" With the help of Thousand Foot Krutch's Trevor McNevan (Love that band listen to their song Falls Apart AHMAZING), Three Days Grace recorded a three-track demo album, which released about one hundred copies. Three Days Grace first toured with Thousand Foot Krutch as their opening band.
Upon completion of their first album, self-titled Three Days Grace, the band recruited Barry Stock to help with lead guitar, allowing Gontier breathing room on stage and on tour. The album's lead single, "I Hate Everything About You," reached number two on the US Modern Rockcharts, number one on the Mainstream Rock charts, and number two on the Canadian Rock charts. Their second single, "Just Like You," gave the group a second number-one in Canada as well as gaining number one status on U.S. rock charts. This was soon followed by the release of the single, "Home," which turned out to be another radio success for the band.
In 2005, Gontier was sent into rehabilitation for an addiction to the painkiller, Oxycodone. The song "Gone Forever" is based on Gontier's life without the drug. During his time spent in rehabilitation, Gontier wrote several songs which he introduced to the band when he returned in 2006. The band then released the album One-X which includes several of Gontier's songs including: "Pain", "Animal I Have Become", "Riot", "Never Too Late", and "Over and Over."
In 2007, Gontier recorded a song called "I Don't Care" with the band Apocalyptica. During this time, the band also went on tour with bands Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Seether, Skillet (band), Nickelback, Hoobastank, Trapt, Puddle of Mudd, 3 Doors Down, Flyleaf, 12 Stones, Red, Econoline Crush, and many others. Live on stage, Gontier has also sung Amy Lee's duet part with Seether in the song "Broken". In a few of his performances he plays an acoustic cover of "Rooster" by Alice In Chains. In addition, Gontier worked with Breaking Benjamin's Benjamin Burnley to sing "Dance with the Devil" on tour.
My Description:
All those songs on One X are amazing and yeah he had drug issues but he came back a better person. Their band name 3 days grace is like when you get a pardon from something for 3 days. I think that if you can make that many ahmazing songs from getting high then all musicians should do it, not trying to say drugs are good but all artists addicted to them should go to rehab and get clean... if it creates such awesome music.
Their sound is rock and roll def, with some scremo, and mature topics. Very gothic if you ask me and it works very welll for realesing anger and stress. Most talk about death, lost love, evil, and injuries. ╔══╗♫
